Message box full and unable to leave messages

Hi,

When people ring my landline and it is not answered, they hear a message saying 'the mailbox is full and cannot accept new messages'. Because this is a holiday house and I am not there fulltime, I have not used the messages for a long long time and have no idea what my password is. I have tried 0000 and 1234. How will I access the messages or delete them from my mailbox? Can I change my password?

Please use plain text.

Re: Message box full and unable to leave messages

Hi MrT,

I will look into re-setting the mailbox service and get back to you tomorrow.

* Just to note if it is re-set all existing messages will be lost.

Thanks, Mark

Re: Message box full and unable to leave messages

Hi MrT

I have re-set the eircom mailbox so if you wait an hour you can set it up again:

Set up eircom mailbox
- Lift your receiver and key 171.
- If eircom mailbox has not yet been enabled on your line, you will be asked to

enter your mailbox number.
- If these services have been enabled on your line, you will be asked to enter your temporary password.
- When asked, enter the following temporary password 1234.
- You will be requested to choose your own private password (this cannot start with 0), once entered, press #.
- Follow the spoken prompts to record your business name / own name and welcome greeting.
To check for new messages - Message waiting indicator (this tells you if you have a new message in your mailbox)
- Lift your receiver.
- A broken dial tone means you have new messages.
- To listen to your messages, key in your password.
Listen to your messages
- Lift your receiver and key 171.
- When asked enter your password, followed by #.
- Follow the spoken prompts.
Listen to your messages from another phone / location
- Call your own number.
- While your greeting is playing, press #.

Thanks, Mark
